Keyword Eye is a great tool for keyword research. The visual approach is a useful addition to keyword analysis for both our PPC and SEO campaigns. I'd recommend it to anyone who is involved with online marketing.

The Interface

The basic layout consists of a top navigation bar and a tabbed layout for reports. Multiple keyword reports can be created. Each keyword report consists of 3 internal tabs: Keywords, Visualizations and Grid View. The 'Keywords' tab is the default view. It is a visual cloud of keyword suggestions where keyword size reflects monthly search volume on Google and colour represents how competitive that keyword is (based on Google PPC data where red is high, amber is medium and green is low). Average CPC and number of organic search results are now included per keyword.

Keyword Report Options

Settings can be adjusted when creating a new keyword report. Entering a keyword returns keyword suggestions relating to this base keyword. Additional settings such as country, ordering, number of results and currency (to calculate the average CPC for your chosen country).

Keyword Share Visualization

This view is designed to give you a visual overview of the keyword search volume share for all of the the keywords in the report.

Classic Grid View

The classic grid view backs up the visual element of the keyword cloud. All of the data is represented in a tabular format where multiple columns can be sorted at a time. A more specific competition score is available in this view (where 0 shows no competition and 1 is the highest level of competition). This view also allows you to export all of the data to CSV.

Domain Keyword Report (Organic & PPC)

In addition to finding keyword suggestions based on a primary keyword you can now find keyword data based on organic or PPC keyword rankings for a domain. Simply enter a domain and a keyword cloud visualization will be returned in the same fashion as a standard keyword report. The results can be sorted by ranking and number of organic results to name a few. This report is ideal for analysing your current website or that of your competitors.
